Now that CES is winding down… the Adult Entertainment Expo is well under way. I was getting completely sandbagged at press registration, “We don’t even have on-site registration. Who are you with?” Netscape dot com “Oh, you’re fine. Here’s the form. Go right over there.” Who knew Netscape had so much clout in the pr0n industry.

Thursday, January 11th, 2007Stats
Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007I was just poking around the RobotSkirts stats the other day and noticed that it wasn’t counting up referrals from my Netscape profile. I knew they were coming in though; I mean who knew that Netscape 5 has such a massive browser share? Running the arriving IPs against the IPs in Netscape didn’t prove very interesting. Top visitor Chris either really likes me or is one of few people I know with a static IP.
I was also looking at the MySQL tables the other day because I wanted to play around with Rail’s scaffolding. The posts table is 344KB. The comments table is 7.4MB. Thank you comment spam.
Back to Nebraska
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006
I’ll be back in Nebraska from today till January 6th. Well, at least I hope to get there today since United just canceled my flight to Denver. I’m flying out tomorrow. At least McCarran has free WiFi. So the question for my waiting time is: I worked for UNL and now Netscape; what company with a seriffed N logo will I work for next?
Big Twin West 2006
Friday, December 1st, 2006
I went to the Big Twin West show today for Netscape. Part of my justification for moving to Las Vegas was so that I could attend events like this at the drop of a hat. I’ve got a ton of pictures from the chopper show on Flickr.
More Mosaic issues
Monday, November 20th, 2006Chris Finke (who built our video system) posts his experience with the Mosaic Hotel. Don’t worry; the obvious jokes aren’t lost on the Netscape dev team.

Jason is leaving
Thursday, November 16th, 2006
Rumors have been confirmed; Jason is leaving AOL. I knew Jason was going to be moving on soon, so I wasn’t entirely shocked. Jason has done a lot for me personally. I met him in Las Vegas a year ago (above). The first thing he did for me was fire the d-bag on the right. Then he made Hack-A-Day independent and kept the wolves at bay. Finally, he was instrumental in me getting my current position at Netscape. I’m sure he’s got another great project coming up and I hope I can help him out in the future. Good luck Jason.
Spa bar
Sunday, November 12th, 2006
I’m here till Sunday evening, but most of my coworkers are flying out tomorrow morning. It’s been a good time with really good people. The hotel has not been enjoyable, but we’ll never be booked here again. Besides what already happened, there are some quirks that annoy me about this place. Take the picture above. The conditioner on the left and the shampoo on the right are free, but lets hope you don’t accidentally use the $48 shower gel on the middle left or the $52 lotion on middle right. Ugh. There’s a photo of the whole honor bar after the jump. (more…)
I’m too forgiving…
Friday, November 10th, 2006…so I’ll let CK tell you how things are going.
Linear Earths?
Thursday, November 9th, 2006
I accidentally zoomed all the way out when using Google Maps today. Do they know something we don’t? I’m headed to Beverly Hills today and it looks like I have a 25% chance that I’ll land in one of its evil twins. Not that I wouldn’t look out of place in the hills anyway but I think to blend into the evil twin I’ll definitely need a mustache.
Awesome, I shot that
Wednesday, November 1st, 2006
The SEMA Show has been fun if not overwhelming. I’ve basically seen everything that Autoblog has been reporting. I shot this video during the noon media lunch. My coworker Alexia did a great job editing it. You can download the high-res version here. As loyal RobotSkirts readers, I offer you this bonus clip: (more…)
