Here’s my first test of Seesmic. I signed up after they announced a client for the N95… but it hasn’t been released yet. I guess some stoners cared enough to reply to me.

Just a quick video before I head out (sorry about the awful lighting). I still need to decide on an video service to start uploading to. I want something that will come close to the original resolution and let you download the original file. Topics: TRS-80, Pelican 1620, Nokia N95, ComVu, GrandCentral, Gizmo.

Ted (neck pictured above) left a comment earlier today that Vimeo now has a scaling toggle. It’s visible when you go fullscreen. Now you can watch their High Def channel at its original 1280×720 resolution.

Update: It’s apparently Casey’s neck. I admit it; I was wrong.

Vimeo launched an “HD” channel today, but you’ll find it very difficult to watch any actual high definition content. High-definition means either 720p format or 1080i. We’re just going to be talking about meeting the bare minimum requirements to be considered HD so we’ll just cover 720p, which is 1280×720 pixels (also 1080i is interlaced so you might as well be watching VHS). My friend Brigitte is Top 5 Most Viewed Today on YouTube (take that lonelygirl15). She has been doing “TV Squad Daily” 5 days a week since December 1st and it’s really starting to get some attention. Keep up the good work!

Yesterday was the last episode of Ze Frank’s the show. I was first introduced to the show during Netscape’s launch. After seeing the episode for June 12th, I went back and watched all of the previous episodes. For a while I was veritable reference work for the show. I’ve embedded my favorite episodes below. Luke and his ride from Phoenix, John, showed up at my house about 11PM last night. Luke is crossing the country and back using only the assistance of fans of the show with ze frank. They hung out for a few hours, watched Chappelle’s Block Party, and recorded this short interview. John is the second Hack-A-Day fan I’ve met in this town in the last week, which makes me estimate 50% of Las Vegas loves Hack-A-Day.

Yes, I actually went to YouTube in search of this clip of Kid ‘n Play. I was prompted by one of my favorite sequences from Undercover Brother (yes, I own it) where Dave Chappelle initiates the Kick Step with the phrase “Kid ‘n Play nigga”.
